For more than 20 years, Dovel has provided IT systems and support to Federal and Defense clients. We have a current opening for an ColdFusion Developer to support a large government contract.

Our client is looking for a full-time ColdFusion Developer to assist in support of existing FDA applications. The developer must develop, maintain, enhance and support fully functioning applications using ColdFusion. The ideal candidate will possess five plus years’ experience with Cold Fusion and Web environment (HTML, JavaScript, CSS, IIS) & SQL. The Developer will interface with clients and the integrated project team so strong, clear written and verbal communication skills are a must.


  • Knowledge of FDA Compliance Management System preferred
  • Strong SQL coding background; understanding of SQL statement optimization/tuning.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a relevant computer-related field or 8 years equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of experience with the development and maintenance of complex applications using ColdFusion, JavaScript, and complex SQL queries.
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Flash, cascading style sheets, and frames
  • Knowledge of source control (Subversion)
  • Support integrations including maintaining and developing new integrations
  • Follow existing coding styles, structures and policies as established by the team
  • Manage and report on multiple projects simultaneously; cope with new challenges and changing priorities under tight deadlines
  • Assist in maintaining system documentation
  • Strong database skills are required
