Position Description: Eastern Florida State College is currently seeking applications for the full-time position ofApplications/Programmer Analyst on the Cocoa Campus in Cocoa, Florida.
Salary & Benefit: The annual salary is $45,000.  Full-time employees of Eastern Florida State College receive fringe benefits including health insurance and a retirement plan.
Position Concept: The Programmer/Analyst will plan, test, debug, develop and document computer programs for various college applications.  These applications will include web based programs as well as those that will interface with Ellucian Banner and Canvas.  Works with PL/SQL, JAVA Script, and ColdFusion to create or modify existing applications.
Minimum Qualifications: The minimum qualifications for this position include:

  • Associate’s in Science degree from a regionally-accredited institution in Computer Programming, Computer Science, or Information Systems and two years of full-time paid professional-level experience
  • Or Bachelor’s degree from a regionally-accredited institution in Computer Programming, Computer Science, or Information Systems and one year of full-time paid professional-level experience
  • Experience working with Oracle databases including PL/SQL
  • Webpage development experience preferred
  • Experience with web scripting languages
  • Reporting tools
  • Valid Florida Motor Vehicle Operator’s license required within 30 days of hire
  • This position will require fingerprinting

Minimum physical qualifications:

  • Ability to communicate both orally and in writing
  • Ability to occasionally lift, push, pull and/or move up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to access, input, and retrieve information and/or data from a computer
  • Ability to sit at a desk and view a display screen for extended periods of time
