We are seeking applicants for the position of Web Developer. The Web Developer is responsible for the development, implementation, and support of organizational web applications including Internet, Intranet, and Extranet sites. The Web Developer acts as the technical resource for all web-based application issues and integration.
The web developer must be a motivated and energetic developer who takes initiative, enjoys finding solutions to a varying number of challenges, is detail-oriented, and takes extreme pride in their work. This position involves leading the archdiocesan web development throughout the entire project life cycle.

The Web Developer will be responsible for:
Project Leadership – Lead web projects using a systems development life cycle approach; Manage project tasks, timelines, and communication; Assist in gathering requirements and project specifications; Communicate project status and deliverables with managers and clients; Provide project team leadership and mentor other IT team members and other organization stakeholders.
Analyze & Report – Monitor site technical performance and site analytics; Research, evaluate, and recommend tools, architecture, security, management, tuning, and usability best-practices for web applications and services; Produce detailed reports on web development goals and objectives and web application usage, and assess the progress of the organization in using technology resources for effective communication.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technology field of study, have 2+ years minimum experience of rapid web development and have a solid understanding of web application development processes, from the layout/user interface to relational database structures. In addition, the candidate will have strong web site programming skills and experience with web site technologies and portal development, strong interface design skills and experience with graphical tools such as Adobe Photoshop and Fireworks.
Expertise with Microsoft IIS, ColdFusion, and DreamWeaver is required and experience with CMS solutions like CommonSpot, Drupal, WordPress, Joomla, etc. is desired. Candidates should have proven .NET experience and a solid understanding of Object Oriented Design and Programming.
