Web Administrator III Performs complex Web work – design, deployment, development and maintenance activities. Analyzes the layout of Internet or Intranet pages for efficiency and effectiveness. Analyzes new and existing software programs, and assists users in the design, development and maintenance of web-based applications. Develops and maintains web-based applications. Designs and implements new or revised methods that effectively meet agency needs. Determines functioning, technical and support requirements for the operation and maintenance of databases, text and graphics. Evaluates code to ensure it is valid, properly structured, meets industry standards, meets state and federal accessibility rules, and is compatible with multiple browsers, devices and operating systems. Interacts and communicates with the agency’s information management team or hosting agency to address hardware or software issues affecting websites. Tracks usage of systems with automated Web tools. Designs and edits Web page content including accessible graphics, text and tables. May assist in information systems security administration. May train others. Works under general supervision with moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs related work as assigned.
Essential Job Functions:
Updates and modifies content on existing websites (50%). Creates, edits and designs Web pages using Drupal CMS (35%). Builds and maintains websites and applications using CSS, ColdFusion, SQL, jQuery and related technologies (15%). Manages multiple projects simultaneously meeting deadlines. Provides timely communications to internal team and clients to meet/exceed expectations. Works well under pressure and is highly organized. Contributes to teamwork and unit harmony. Attends work on a regular and predictable schedule in accordance with agency leave policy and performs other duties as assigned.
Knowledge Skills Abilities:
Proficiency designing and editing webpage content including preparation of accessible tables and graphics, server-side scripting languages such as ColdFusion, knowledge of databases and SQL. Preferred knowledge of Drupal or other content management systems. Preferred knowledge of PHP.
