Position: Software Engineer/Developer II
Clearance Requirement: Active TS/SCI with Polygraph
Description: Cymertek is seeking a Software Engineer.
Required Experience/Skills:
- Must meet SWEII labor category requirements.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development with Java, Linux/UNIX/Solaris, HTML, web application development in PMP or JSP, and SQL.
- Must also have experience in three or more of the following: JSP, J2EE framework, Spring framework, Perl, Oracle, Servlets, Maven, Apache web server, Tomcat web server, ColdFusion.
- Must be able to develop and implement Java libraries to facilitate NKB software lifecycle support. Must be able to create application frameworks from the ground up and implement in a production environment in WAR and or JAR formats.
- Must have experience with Linux/UNIX operating system environments, and previous experience writing scripts as well as maintaining system-level utilities such as “CRON”.
- Must have experience in the Cloud environment.
- Must have strong communication skills.
- Provide software engineering support for NKB and FOXTRAIL
Desired Skills/Education:
- Experience with cloud related software is desired: Mongo, Accumulo, Hadoop, Hadoop, Map Reduce, Cloudbase.
- Experience with Pig, Maven or related software management utilities is a bonus.
- Experience with ElasticSearch as an indexing tool is desired.
- Experience with Git is preferred
Minimum Labor Category Requirements

Required Skills/Education:
- Shall have an understanding of how UIS code works and how analysts use UIS.
- Knowledge of XML structure, XML parsers, SQL and Perl is required.
- Development skills in Java threading/thread pooling, RMI, character set encoding, swing, JDBC, JMS, J2EE, Enterprise Java Beans, Web Logic, Servlets, and JSP are required.
- Candidates shall have eight (8) to eighteen (18) years of general experience in computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, or a related discipline, including at least five (5) years of experience in software-intensive projects and programs for government or industry customers. Additionally, at least three (3) years of the experience must have been as a software engineer supporting software architecture development, requirement analysis, process execution and evaluation, selection and evaluation of COTS/GOTS tools, and integration (with both new and existing systems).
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics or a related discipline may be substituted for four (4) years of general experience.
