Key Role:

Provide software engineering support to a client, using development tools and standards. Perform core software development activities, including translating design requirements and specifications into implementation. Design, develop, test, and implement software solutions across functional areas in support of project needs and prepare design specifications, test plans, deployment plans, systems documentation, programming manuals, and user documentation. Follow the application development life cycle using defined development processes and SDLC tools. Develop process flows, data models, prototypes, user interface designs, screen layouts, and specifications, support and maintain existing applications, work as part of a team to develop quality solutions within required timeframes and with customers and internal staff, and respond to support questions, ensuring consistent service reliability and timely problem resolution. Leverage expertise with Cold Fusion, HTML, XHTML, JavaScript, CSS, XSLT, jQuery, SQL development, and Agile methodologies. Participate in the design of software tools and subsystems to support reuse and domain analysis, assist the applications engineer and applications programmer to interpret software requirements and design specifications to code, and integrate and test software components.


Basic Qualifications:

  • Experience with Visual Studio .NET, Microsoft SQL server and queries, and source and version control tools, including Subversion
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) and other software development methodologies, including Agile methodology
  • Knowledge of database design concepts in Microsoft SQL and Agile methodologies
  • Secret clearance
  • BA or BS degree
  • DoD 8570-01-M Compliance IAT Level II Certification, including Security+

Additional Qualifications:

  • Experience with Defense Media Activity (DMA) a plus
  • Experience with providing software engineering support in a DoD environment
  • BA or BS degree in a technology field
