Position Description:
The ColdFusion Developer will utilize the approved software development lifecycle (SDLC) to program and document websites and web-based systems to support CARCO’s Research Division. This position is also responsible for updates to the CARCO corporate website.
Responsibilities Include:
- Providing daily updates to the IT Manager on the progress of tasks and projects and estimated delivery dates
- Participating in requirements gathering sessions with business users
- Participating in design session with the IT staff
- Documenting the design of a solution prior to building or coding
- Documenting requirements when necessary
- Writing computer codes based on documented designs
- Writing and executing unit-level test scripts to test functionality that is deployed
- Writing and executing deployment scripts and manage the deployment of the web-tier portion of the Research Division systems
Position Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years programming experience in ColdFusion 5 or higher
- Must have experience with ColdFusion component
- XML and web services experience a plus
- GED/HS Diploma a must. Associates or BA/BS preferred
Performance Measurements:
The successful candidates must be self-motivated, able to work independently and as part of a larger team. This position offers growth potential and professional development. The Cold Fusion Developer will be evaluated using quantitative and qualitative data. Quantitative data that may be used include:
- the percentage of projects delivered on time
- the number of bugs reported across newly implemented systems
- the whole number of deviations from the SDLC.
